Michelle Ackerman called a raccoon eviction service after hearing squealing and scratching in the attic of her San Bruno, California (USA) flat. A mother raccoon and three kits were then discovered climbing up and down a barred window to access a hole in her roof. I made this photograph while waiting for these raccoons to appear on their nightly adventures searching for food in the neighborhood. Mrs. Ackerman stepped outside to have a look just as the four raccoons were considering their decent. No bait was used.
