Several coyotes have been fitted with radio/gps collars during the Winter of 2020 to provide information on the movement habits of urban coyotes in Chicago. Using telemetry to track a radio collared coyote at Graceland cemetery in Chicago, Dr. Stan Gehrt discovered this coyote hiding in a crevasse of an old stone wall. The urban coyote’s mastery of stealth helps them to roam largely undetected even in dense urban environments.
