Coyotes roam at Bernal Heights Park in San Francisco, California. Bernal Heights park is surrounded by city with no distinct wildlife cooridor. Several pups were born to the resident pair in the spring. At least one pup is represented in these images. These coyotes are quite visible early in the morning and sometimes throughout the day, They generally avoid humans but the lack of treens an hiding places on this hill make them easy to spot. The park is an off leash dog park and the presence of wild coyotes is controversial.
