A male coyote that was trapped and collared by The Cook County Urban Coyote Project let by Dr. Stanley Gehrt in Graceland cemetary during the Winter of 2020 was tracked to this location behind the downtown USPS along the South Branch of the Chicago River. It appears to have found a female mate and had been staying near this location. Interviews with USPS security indicate that many coyotes have frequented this area for years.
