Several coyotes have been fitted with radio/gps collars during the Winter of 2020 to provide information on the movement habits of urban coyotes in Chicago. While shadowing Dr. Stanley Gehrt using telemetry to locate the sleeping location of one of the collared coyotes, we discovered a coyote hunkered in tiny crevasse in a rock wall on along the perimeter of Graceland cemetary. The animal stayed put as I placed a camera into the hole to document its location. While targeting Urban Coyotes in Chicago, Illinois, I partnered with Dr. Stanley Gehrt who leads the Cook County Urban Coyote Project. email: gehrt.1@osu.edu
