FHM and Amy Stein
June 15th, 2007
FHM (UK) just published a two page interview with me about life as a crab fisherman. Man, what a trashy magazine. In other news I’ll be heading back to Alaska (Ketchikan) next week on assignment with the German Fashion Magazine Neon. Also look out for upcoming articles/photos in Artweek, Juxtapoz, Monster children (AU), RE:UP, and several Chinese publications. Oh, and check out this great photographer’s work: Amy Stein. I haven’t seen anything this great in awhile.
Group Show at Sara Tecchia Roma New York
June 14th, 2007

Nice things are happening, but time should please stand still so I can spend a month landscaping my home! Pics from The Richard Heller Gallery show should be on their way soon. I’m in a group show in NYC right now at Sara Tecchia Roma New York. Stop in and say hello if you have a minute.
Shishmaref, Dogsledding, and How to be an Alaskan Fisherman
May 14th, 2007
I just did a little how to blog thing on how to find a fishing job in Alaska for my favorite website Fecalface dot com. Tonight I leave for the Inuit village of Shishmaref in Alaska. I’ll be out of touch for a week while searching for Polar Bears via dogsled and meeting some local whaling folk. See you next week!

I’ve been nominated for the Aperture West Book Prize. Hot Dog! Also, this month you will find a great critical story about “Deadliest Catch” in the April issue of Mens Journal. My photo of Chris getting pummeled by a wave can be found on the contents page. In gallery show news, I’ll have a few photos in the Beholder-art show on May 19th at the Tinlark Gallery in Los Angeles.

Coreyfishes at Richard Heller Gallery
March 21st, 2007
The Rollo is now back and happily getting it’s hull scrubbed of barnacles in Seattle. Great things are happening back here in Portland. My solo show at Richard Heller Gallery has been forwarded to a May 12 opening. This will be my most exciting solo exhibition to date!
Higher Pictures Gallery NYC exhibition
March 20th, 2007
I’ve been invited to a show some photos at the inagural exhibition at the new Higher Pictures Gallery in NYC opening April 14 6-8Pm. Kim Bourus formerly the creative director at Magnum Photos and Daniel Silverstien formerly of the Silverstien Gallery have teamed up to form Higher Pictures Gallery. The show will feature works by super heavy hitters and some of my favorite legends like Diane Arbus, James Nachtwey, Henri Cartier Bresson, Koudelka, Robert Capa, Kertesz and many more… Wow.

Bairdi Hell
February 24th, 2007
We’re still in Alaska and have just completed our third tour for Opilio Crab aboard the Rollo. Tonight we leave for the Pribilof Islands to hunt the illusive Bairdi Crab. There is no money to be made off this lousy crab and we are in for possibly a “hell on earth” experience. At least my kitty is on board to contort and hang upside-down for entertainment. This month Blackpool Magazine out of Paris has printed a large portfolio of my images. I haven’t seen it yet, but appears to be a great mag which, like Fecal Face, mixes art with a touch of skateboard culture.

On temporary eye injury sick leave in Anchorage, AK. Nothing permanent though. I’ve got some photos up at Tim Barber’s Tiny Vices installation in Paris. Check it out. I’m in and out of email contact for 3 more weeks so sorry if I haven’t responded. Also, my good buddy Aubrey Hays has a new website of photos. Check it out here.
